first i was rather sceptical cause for me it looked like Gutter Rainbows would be kind of a collection of songs that don’t make it on the Prisoner of Conscious LP. then i listened to Cold Rain and I’m On One and it sound dope to me.
i got Gutter Rainbows on jan 25th as a CD from german amazon. artwork is awesome. i like those paper covers most.

best production: Self Savior
this beat made by Maurice Brown is simply brilliant, even better than Cold Rain by Ski Beatz. one of the chilliest ones i ever heard. sounds classic and jazzy.
best content: Cold Rain
very deep, uplifting
best chorus: So Low
best lyrical flow: I’m On One
razor-sharp, ambitious, Kweli shows hes one of the dopest mcs in the world
best guest appearance: Jean Grae on Uh Oh
strong, impressive flow, nice chorus vocals
the album is qualitatively as good as Beautiful Struggle, Quality and Eardrum but all of these projects have a whole different mood.
