ACT NOW: “Black Women Are Less Physically Attractive Than Other Women…”
Dear Fam,
If you have read about the latest sexist attack on Black women then you’ll understand why this POB! is important. If not, read on. Either way, the petition (see background below) is still active. Please sign now.
The following is from Change.org.
On (Sunday) May 15, 2011, Psychology Today contributor, Satoshi Kanazawa posted an article entitled “Why Are Black Women Less Physically Attractive Than Other Women?” (now removed from their website, but reblogged here). We demand that the Psychology Today editorial board publicly account for how and why this racist and sexist article was allowed to be published on the Psychology Today website, and take transparent steps to prevent this from happening in the future.
Kanazawa’s article is nothing more than a vile regurgitation of racist and sexist beliefs about black women disguised as “objective” and “scientific” research findings, and contributes to a historical legacy of using distorted “science” as a tool to justify violent ideas about and treatment of black women. Kanazawa has a history of writing biased and error-ridden articles that attempt to justify racist beliefs. Other scientists have discredited his research and his legitimacy as a social scientist has been called into question. That Psychology Today publishes Kanazawa’s often problematic articles casts serious doubt about the trustworthiness of their publications as well as the rigor of their editorial process.
Psychology Today is not just a magazine and website, but it’s also a site that people access resources for mental health services for their well being. Publishing damaging and crude articles such as Kanazawa’s demonstrates a profound disrespect for anyone who turns to Psychology Today for these resources.
Read the entire appeal.
Sign the petition.

Since when was beauty measured by science?? Its sad how some people have such an immature way of thinking at this day and age..and this is coming from a “scientist”? And even if we were less attractive, does that make us any less worthy? It is so important that we teach young girls today that image is the least of our worries. And if a person is willing to judge you for the way Allah/God has created you then they are not worth our time!

The problem with this this outspoken individual is that he, most likely, has his nose buried in a book filled with statistics; so his relationship is with statistics rather than experiencing diversity in human relationships on a metaphysical level. Not to mention the ridiculously feeble case he makes. I mean; testosterone levels! That’s like saying the least appealing juice is orange because it has high concentration of vitamin C. Attraction is far more complex. All women are beautiful and attractive to someone for a grand host of reasons; that can only be known from developing relationships and attraction with other human beings of varying genetic origin. The real problem is the lack of sensitivity & credibility displayed by the publisher. Boo this site! Boooo! Too me, black women are the most beautiful.

Satoshi Kanazawa you lost your mind, instead of saying things who doesn’t make sense, you should pull up your sleeves and go back to your country Japan and help rebuilt you country,it is a mess. Many people i know , think than people of your race are not attractive,so look at your own before you talk about others.
